It's always challenging to write an "about me" page, because this site is supposed to be about YOU, my clients. However, you probably do want to know a little something about me in order to feel comfortable coming to see me, so here goes:
I have always loved cats and horses, and I wanted to be a veterinarian when I was younger. That dream got sidelined, but now I get to be a massage therapist, which I have decided is much better after all. 🙂
I have been a licensed massage therapist since March of 2009. Along the way, I have been encouraged and inspired by many clients to pursue a different sort of focus for my practice, centered around clients who live with complex medical conditions, PTSD, and other situations that require a gentle and compassionate, yet confident, approach.
As a result, I have attended several continuing education courses that have challenged my perspective and thus, quite literally, changed my life. I know that most people won't care so much about my "accolades", but some will, so I'll include a list of select courses I've completed on this page, along with some of the organizations to which I am honored to belong.
Probably the most important thing to know about me is that I have my own Survivorship Story, so I get it, whatever your "it" is. I want to do everything within my "power" (scope of practice, training, and natural talents and gifts) to support you as you write your best Story possible.
